🏑 Early Life and Background
Raheel began his hockey journey at St. Joseph's School and joined the Sports Authority of India (SAI) hostel in Bengaluru at the age of 15. He pursued his B.Com. from Surana College and honed his skills under coaches Manohar Katke, Ashwath, and Prabhakar at the SAI hostel.
🏆 Domestic Career
Raheel's domestic career took off during his time at the SAI hostel, where he participated in Junior Nationals and other tournaments. He was spotted by Air India and played for them from 2016 to 2020. Notably, in 2019, he led Air India to victory in the Lal Bahadur Shastri tournament in Amritsar, finishing as the highest scorer and earning the Best Player award. In 2021, he secured a bronze medal representing Karnataka at the Senior Nationals. His consistent performances led to his selection in the Karnataka team, which clinched the gold medal at the National Games in October 2022.
🇮🇳 International Career
Raheel made his international debut in June 2022 during the inaugural Hero Hockey5s Championship in Lausanne, Switzerland, where India won the gold medal. He scored 10 goals in the tournament and was named the Best Player. Later that year, he made his senior India debut in the FIH Hockey Pro League against New Zealand in Bhubaneswar. He also participated in test matches against Australia in December 2022.
In September 2023, Raheel served as the vice-captain for the Indian team at the Men's Hockey5s Asia Cup in Salalah, Malaysia. He continued to represent India in the 2023–24 FIH Hockey Pro League and was part of the 33-member core group in 2024. That year, he toured Australia with the Indian team for a Test series.

Raheel plays as a midfielder for both the Indian national team and his domestic team, Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG). He is known for his agility, vision on the field, and ability to control the game's tempo. His versatility allows him to excel in both the Hockey5s and traditional outdoor formats.
